Eastbourne to Antigua 2025
All of this was self taught, from other You Tube creators and people I spoke to or just watching others around Sovereign Harbour. After I exhausted what you can do with a motor boat I was inspired by learning about skippers sailing long distances solo around the world. I knew this was what I wanted to do so I was very fortunate I found the opportunity to swap the motor boat for my 34ft sailing boat Ice Dancer.

Update Dec 24: The Garmin Inreach Mini Marine is a hand held GPS with an SOS emergency button that in a Mayday or distress will allow my location to be shared with all relevant ermergency services. It also allows messaging via bluetooth from any connected device, I have an iphone and ipad, for tracking, routes, waypoints and a live map of the world via the Garmin Earthmate map within the App.
Update Dec 24: Another job completed on Ice Dancer and also without any cost when I removed the speed transducer from the bow end of the hull while still on the berth. This device sends a magnetic signal that is then converted to a speed reading displayed on the cockpit instrument.The second transducer that can be seen in the video is used for indication of depth.
