About Ice Dancer Photography

Hi I'm Brett

My boat is Ice Dancer a Sadler 34, I am from Lincoln, I moved to East Sussex when my daughter left home for University, my Nanna was born in Eastbourne in 1919 and grew up on Latimer road, I try to get back to Lincoln to see friends and family when I can.

I really like walking my dog Ruby around Sovereign harbour and watching vessels locking in and out, this was what motivated me to buy a quality camera and I found an eBay bargain - my Nikon D5000 SLR.  I am really pleased with it and after practicing at the breakwaters I found out just how good the camera is at getting pictures of vessels at sea plus maybe a touch of talent from myself.  I then thought it would be great if I could find a way to show the pictures to the owners of the boats.  So that is why I built this web-site, I have quite a few ideas for it in mind and will add more pages over time, thank you for reading this I hope I will have a fab picture of your vessel out at sea soon.  I also like making YouTube videos, the following video is on my channel which also links to other content created around Sovereign Harbour and about boating.

Astronomy

I always wanted to have my own observatory at the bottom of my garden which I sort of do have now when using the stern of Ice Dancer but its very difficult with the boat constantly moving, up on top of the downs overnight is the best stargazing location and the Meade telescope is the perfect size for a rucksack.

Ice Dancer is a very sea-worthy 1988 Sadler 34, I hope to fly her Spinnaker and then anchor overnight somewhere for the first time soon.
